Helping Hands by Truth Be Told is an initiative that is committed to providing immediate assistance to in-conflict and post-conflict communities – mainly people hit by war, people suffering from human rights abuses, communities that face negligence by their governments, people facing epidemics and disasters (natural or man-made).
Currently, our humanitarian teams work on the ground to alleviate the most severe crises. The aim is to assist, as quickly and efficiently as possible, those whose lives and health are under threat. The objective is to fulfill people’s basic needs: food, water, shelter, and medications. After immediate response and supplying direct assistance to those in need, our humanitarian teams continue to assist vulnerable peoples until they regain their livelihoods and the autonomy needed to get back on their feet and face the challenges of an uncertain future with dignity.
OUR HISTORY
Helping Hands’ humanitarian action dates back to the early 2000s. There was not one concrete mission at the time, yet several acts of assistance both short-term and long-term. Our team members provided assistance to orphanages, elderly centers, refugees, and many other communities facing conflict or crises. However, the Beirut Explosion of August 4, 2020 instilled the necessity to establish a concrete foundation in which continuous assistance is provided to the various communities. Moreover, in order to gain credibility and trust, the team found it necessary to have a platform where donations and their work can be documented and made public.
